In Spalding, we will continue our study of spelling with 30 new words. In grammar, we will be focusing on contractions and direct quotations. In writing, we will be focusing on identifying central themes and comprehension, as well as, command sentences.  Our poem is "The Violet" by Jane Taylor.

In Math, we will be reviewing for our cumulative test on all units that we have covered so far. The test will be on Tuesday. This test will cover all information learned in our 3A book. The students will have 70 minutes to complete this test, which has 18 questions. On Wednesday, we will be starting our new book, 3B. The first unit will be on measurement!

In Science, we will be continuing our current unit that is focused on sound and the human ear.

In History, we will be starting to uncover the secrets of the Vikings. We will be looking at their society, which includes runes, longhouses, and trade. We will also be having our first quiz of the quarter on Thursday. The study sheet will be sent home Monday.

Please let me know if there are any questions or concerns!
